Anne Bachmann
Anne Bachmann is a sculptor, based near Richmond Park, working in a variety of media, from papier-mache and glass, through to metal and bronze. She ran an interior design company for twenty years, before pursuing a formal art education with a Diploma in Fine Art. She followed this with a Fine Art Sculpture Degree in City & Guilds of London Art School.
Very much in harmony with current trends, she recycles much of her work. Anne’s quirky sense of humour appears in her animal forms. She feels that sculpture should be tactile and not put on a plinth with a sign saying ‘do not touch’.
Anne has exhibited at a variety of venues including:
Hyde Park Gallery
The Spitz Gallery, Spitalfields
The Affordable Art Fair
Art Parks, Guernsey
The Biscuit Factory, Newcastle-on-Tyne
Paolozzi Gallery
Peter Leyton Gallery
Victoria & Albert Museum (which prominently featured one of her papier-mache sculptures in 2006)
